Reporting to Parents

Rongotai College posts school reports home to all parents/caregivers four times each year.

Term 1: Interim Reports on how all students have settled down to work are posted out at the end of Week 6. All parents are invited to attend Parent-Teacher Interviews in Week 9 as part of this report process.

Term 2: Mid-year reports for all students are posted out to parents by the end of Week 5. These detailed reports  focus on achievement during the first half of the school year. Reports will include an up-to-date NCEA Record of Learning, outlining credits gained this year towards NCEA.

Term 3: Mid-year Interim Reports for all students focussing on effort made since the last report are posted out to parents by the end of Week 3. Reports will include an up-to-date NCEA Record of Learning, outlining credits gained this year towards NCEA. Parents are invited to attend Parent-Teacher Interviews as part of this report process.

Term 4: End-of-year reports for all Years 11-13 students are posted out to parents by the end of Week 2. These detailed reports outline achievement in the school NCEA practice examinations, and also include an up-to-date NCEA Record of Learning, outlining credits gained this year towards NCEA. End-of-year reports for all Year 9 and 10 students are handed out on the school year.

The Key Competencies are recognised in the New Zealand Curriculum as being the skills, attitudes and values we all need to lead productive and fulfilling lives. The five key competencies that all schools in New Zealand must report on from 2011 are:
