The Rongotai College Parents’ Association aims to enhance the sense of community among the parents, demonstrating support to our teachers and students.
We raise funds to support initiatives presented by staff, providing long term benefit to the students, improving the school environment and assets and providing access to opportunities otherwise not available. Over the past few years the RCPA has assisted in the purchase of the school van, new lockers for the students, funded 3D and thermal fabric printers, extensive enhancements to the music department, and paid for the popular Year 9 Rewarding Reading Programme. In addition to these bigger contributions, smaller sums allocated to things such as chess clocks, new balls for lunchtime play form an important part in supporting staff in their bid to provide the best for our boys.
Meetings are held once a month during term time and these dates and times can be found on this website. They will also be included in the Principal’s Newsletter.
An agenda, minutes of the meetings and financial records are kept up-to-date, accurate and are open to scrutiny by any member of the association, staff or parents.
