During the course of Term 3 we have highlighted a number of performances from our students outside of our mainstream codes, today we are going to acknowledge yet another of our own. MAX PETHERICK who represented Wellington in the Central North Island Quad tournament held recently in New Plymouth. Max played with distinction and displayed our BEST values. Please congratulate Max as he comes up to receive his Certificate from Wellington Bowls – Well done Max!
BASKETBALL
Some big results in our Basketball programme in the past week, the Senior A’s got the win with an epic 84-82 over-time win against Aotea College last Friday night – awesome work!
Our Junior B’s had a come-from-behind win in the semi final – down 6 with 1.31 seconds left on the clock, the boys put in the yards and came out with a 2 point win to lock in the final on Tuesday next week.
FOOTBALL
The 1st XI played St Pat’s Town over the weekend and were under the pump early after being reduced to 10 but the lads put in a massive shift and thumped them 6-0!
HOCKEY
The 1st XI took on HIBS for the fourth time this season and looking for their first win, they put on a clinical display with Captain JACK COBDEN-COX scoring a hat-trick and taking out the fixture 4-2.
RUGBY
The 1st XV played Aotea College and racked up a massive 63-22 win. This week is the final week of the College Sport competition and we will be hosting 3 play-off games at home so get down and support the brothers.
This week we also hosted Palmerston North Boys High in the last of our multi-code traditionals for the year. It was a tough day at the office for our boys in the blue black yellow. The results were:
1st XI Football – 0-5 loss
Junior Football – 1-1 draw
1st XI Hockey – 0-12 loss
